I'm so slow, but almost done with pics from our trip. :)
Oct 13th - Pictures from Buddhist Temple and the Chen Family Temple
Buddhist Temple
This Buddha looks a bit mean.
People leaving their gifts at the altar.
Another Buddha
Temple
This is a thing where people will toss coins into it and if they make it in one of the windows/openings, it's considered good luck.
Burning incense
Oils, fruits, offerings
Monks during a worship service
Worshippers
I could not speak to these sweet people since I don't know their language, but I kept thinking that "at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth".
Chen Family Temple
Our family at the Chen house
Amazing detail - on even the roof!
This family temple is now a cultural art exhibit. All of the carvings were so incredibly intricate!
Master Chen: He paints with his HANDS. No brush! We have "four season" scrolls in our living room now painted by him.
Jade
Ceramic art
Lime Sculpture
At night, we went to the 7-11. We found some things not in the US 7-11s. :)
Some sort of fish, I think?
Meal - all ready to go! ;)
And in case you're having digestive issues, don't worry....the same great taste hasn't changed. :)
We didn't give it a try though.
