Well, my trepidation over the cruise food was not unwarranted. Jacob awoke at about 2am saying he was sick, but couldn't throw up. Oh great! My mind immediately was racing. "What if we all get it? How can we travel on an airplane sick? I don't want to delay getting Tru". And on and on and on. J went back got to sleep, and then I woke up at 3am to the sound of vomit splatting on the boys' bed. It doesn't matter how tired you are, or how deep of a sleep you're in, that sound will have a mom on her feet in 2 seconds flat. I stripped the linens from their bed, but didn't cut on lights because I didn't want to wake up EK. We did not want to add a crying, tired baby to the mix. I told Aidan to climb in our bed and poor Jacob slept on the stripped bed with a bath towel for covers. He had to run to the bathroom a couple of more times during the night.
J felt much better this morning other than having to visit the bathroom several times today.
At 9am, we met in the lobby for group pictures, family pictures, and the babies pics all together. It was fun, and I'm glad I've had the privilege to meet each of these families and be a part of their lives during such a special time. They were all so sweet, and we have a special bond of being together as our families grew.
We decided J should stay close to the bathroom today, so Tanya and took a taxi to Shamian Island while the girls were napping. It was a gorgeous day with the best weather we've had since we've been here. We had a couple of things we wanted to get before leaving China and they have the cheapest shopping. It has gorgeous European buildings since it a territory that was colonized by Europeans. It looks unlike anything else in China.
The afternoon and evening was spent packing up and saying goodbyes. We have a bright and early morning ahead of us. Someone will be knocking on our door at 6am to get our checked luggage.
